Ponder This

So as I made my fresh pot of coffee this morning, I reached for my coffee mug. There are mornings I reach for the black mug from Cheyenne, WO and other days I reach for the Disney mug and yet others that I reach for the Hawaiian mug.
...and it got me thinking...do I subconsciously set the mood for the day by the cup I select?
Do you have a favorite mug you always gravitate to? Or do you bounce around from mug to mug?

Came by way of Pioneer Woman! I don't drink coffee, some mornings though I wish I did! I do tend to have cups I gravitate towards on a given day.

I have 3 or 4 mugs that I switch around with. I love them all, so whichever is closest (and cleanest) then that's the one I go with.

I'm the same way about mugs. I've been drinking from the same one all week, with a little wash each night! It's "Impressionism" and has all the artists' signatures on it. I got it when I went to the exhibit in Atlanta several years ago. It makes me happy.

I have tons of mugs from places I've been. It's a collection that wasn't intentional, but has grown over the years.
I do choose my cup depending on my mood, or by who gave it to me etc.

As all of us in the Southeast are doing, we are constantly checking weather forecast. Some local channels, and you know who you are WSB , are already in that manic mode. All of their meteorologists have a dazed look in their eyes. They are giddy with anticipation of a big snow event. And let me just clarify myself as to what constitutes a "big snow event" in Atlanta. First, just the forecast of snow makes everyone nutso. Store shelves are emptied of bread, makings for chili, brownie mix and milk. If we actually do get snow, and I must say that we will get flurries once a winter, all TV is interrupted for "black ice" warnings Yes, we are a bit crazy! Secondly, if there is an inch of snow, than the weather channels declare "Snow Jam 2010"! Nothing else in the world is news worthy as Snow Jam 2010 becomes our only news event.
