FOR TODAY ... Outside my window... the dormant trees surround me but there is no tell tale sign of emerging buds I am thinking...of someday taking a fabulous vacation as we once experienced I am thankful for...waking to live another day to the best of my abilities by being kind and tender hearted   From the kitchen...I hear a quiet idleness.  The sink is clean, as always, and the counters are immaculate I am wearing... my black Gloria Vanderbilt jeans with my three quarter sleeve sweater I am creating...my mother’s birthday present but I am short photos of her in her younger days I am going...to make oatmeal raisin cookies today. I am reading...Deception Point by Dan Brown…this book was lost for about 6 months and it finally made its way I am hoping...the employment comes our way very soon I am hearing...noises from the living room as my hubby is rearranging the cords to the TV, recorder and other various electronic dev...

FOR TODAY ... Outside my window... The sun is shining but it is a mere 39 degrees.  We are expected to reach the mid 50’s today. I am thinking... that when my grandson goes down for his nap, I will read a bit more of my book. I am thankful for... the beautiful sunshine today.  It is glorious, bright and invigorating.   From the kitchen... I smell absolutely nothing except for the almost empty pot of coffee a few minutes away from burning. I am wearing... my comfortable blue suede slipper, dark blue jeans and my long sleeve green top with black stripes down the arms. I am creating... nothing at the moment but getting ready to work on a present for my mother’s upcoming birthday I am going...to make baked ziti tonight for dinner…using the last of my pomodora sauce I made over the weekend. I am reading...Water for Elephants.  My goal is to have it finished by Thursday. I am hoping... that my headache goes away soon bec...

For Today Outside my window the sun is hiding, yet again. I am thinking that I need to do more than entertain the idea of going to the gym three days a week. I am thankful for having a roof over my head. From the kitchen I am drinking a hot cup of coffee with my favorite creamer. I am wearing my pink plaid drawstring pants with a pale pink camisole. I am creating a present for my mother's upcoming birthday. I am going to start my diet today! Really! I am reading the Sunday newspaper. I am hoping to be able to visit my mom for her 76th birthday in March. I am hearing my tummy rumble…not a good way to start the week. Around the house , I’ve been thinking of getting window treatments for my bedroom and the proper rod for my dining room. One of my favorite things is when the house is still and quite. For today, January 5, 2009 Outside my window I see the night fog roll in as we experience abnormally warm temperatures I am thinking about why I am not asleep when everyone else is I am thankful for my life as it unfolds day by day From the kitchen there is not one sound nor aroma I am wearing my blue plaid pajama bottom with my sleeveless blue shirt because it is still 60 degrees I am creating absolutely nothing at this moment and I don't feel guilty about it I am going to continue to pray that hubby gets hired soon I am reading the same old book I posted last week...but I did manage to read the Atlanta Constitution Journal I am hoping to get a good night's sleep but it's not looking too good at the moment I am hearing the sounds of a siren in the distance and hoping no one is hurt Around the house not a creature is stirring. FOR TODAY December 30, 2008... Outside my window the sun is shining brightly against the blue sky... I am thinking of why did I write the wrong address on my sister's Christmas card as it was returned to us this morning... I am thankful for the roof over my head, the food we have to eat, and the family that means so much... From the kitchen there is an almost empty pot of coffee that may need replenishing... I am wearing a purple fuzzy fleece pajamas that kept me warm and cozy last night... I am creating a wonderful Christmas Box for my friend, Kate... I am going to make for dinner my husband's favorite Dutch recipe, sauerkraut with mashed potatoes... I am reading Wicked... I am hoping that we get word very soon that "Walter" is retiring so that my husband can start working... I am hearing the tv sounds in the background as my husband channel surfs... Around the house the Christmas decorations have but a few more days before they go back into hiding until next year.....
