Do You Dream? I Do and Boy.....

Most nights, I can definitely say that I have a dream or two. Some mornings, I remember them for a fleeting moment, yet other mornings, the dreams are vivid with details galore. Why do we dream? One theory that doctors have is when you are at school, home, or somewhere, there are so many things that are going on that you don't think about during the day, night, etc. When you sleep, in other words dream, you think about all of the things that have happened. Also, during the day or night, if you are worried or upset, or feeling something about someone, something, etc., it all comes out. You think/ dream about it when asleep. There are a number of people who claim they do not dream. I guess that is possible but I would like to believe that they just do not remember what occurs. Some people skip the 1st stage of sleep: REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep. Scientists and/or doctors don't really know why some people can do this. A Story of a Rescue Dog Named Dexter

Our newly President Elect has promised to keep one of his campaign promises to his daughters by getting them a new puppy. Our new First Lady elect made the politically correct statement that the family would adopt a rescue puppy from a shelter. I think this is a famously grand idea...and let me tell you why. My favorite aunt recently adopted a rescue dog, Dexter, who is part beagle and dachshund. Dexter had a very heartbreaking beginning as he and about 140 other dogs were emancipated from a puppy mill in Missouri last July. This particular puppy mill breed beagles and dachshunds. Dexter was considered a "mistake" and put in a cage where he lived over 2 years of his life before his intervention took place. Dexter never had human interaction. He never knew the joy of a belly rub or played tug on an old pair of slippers. Never once did imagine what it would be like to sleep in a bed because he lived his two years in a cage. Outside. Cold. Alone from human kindness. But Dexter...

Yes, We Did!

It's after 11:00 here in the Atlanta area. Off in the distance, I hear fireworks. Celebration is occurring in homes all over the country. The United States has made history once again. President Obama, may God protect you as you lead our Country to better times.
