Sevens, Sevens and More Sevens

Last week, I believe, I was tagged by dlyn with this meme (don't hate me Jo!) and actually found it difficult to list all of these topics. In some regard, it is like updating your life plan or at the very least, sharing little intimate secrets with ya'll. (I may be from Chicago but I am a Southern lady now!) So here are the little boring details of my life...at least those I care to share...because those of you that know me in real life know I build walls to hide behind them.

7 Things I plan to do before I die
  • Go on a Mediterranean cruise
  • Own a home again
  • Visit all 50 States (after traveling almost a year in the RV, we have only 10 to go)
  • Improve my photography
  • Snow ski down a mountain once
  • Spoil all of my grandchildren (currently only have 1 so Kids, get busy!)
  • Get another dog...a beagle puppy...just for me

7 Things I can do

  • Create a warm and homey environment
  • Decorate my little heart out
  • Host a fantastic dinner party
  • Rescue stray kitty cats
  • Plan a wedding in 6 weeks (it's true..)
  • Let the past go and forgive
  • Never hold a grudge

7 Things I cannot do

  • Put things together…I am not mechanical
  • Open our safe… forget it…I cannot do it
  • Can't seem to get back to my wedding size
  • Eat a mushroom....ewwww
  • Eat any shellfish or I die
  • Refuse my children
  • Say no as much as I should

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! It’s incredible to recognize that I’ve know this man for almost 50 years. I don’t regret one single day. Not one.  Sure, there have been times that were filled with questions and struggles. But there have been so many more days that we’re fun filled, raising our two perfect children, living the life of suburbia, two working parents doing their best. Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
