I Need YOUR Comments!

A couple of days ago, I opened an Etsy account due to a multitude of remarks from my blogging friends. My mind is rushing with all of the projects I could create to sell. There are so many great things I have created for gifts and of course, I never keep any of them for myself.

Here is a question I have to ask of you, my purchasing public.

What would you be willing to pay for the Chirstmas box either for yourself or a gift?

Don't be shy. Tell me like it is.

Maybe you shoud figure out how much it cost to make and then add a 200% markup.

Yes, you could do that. It was difficult pricing my prints, so I went on etsy and looked at what others were selling theirs for and I went from there.
Honestly, I don't want to tell you what I would pay for the book because it feels weird putting a price on it when I'm a new recipient of one!!
You can always change a price. So just go with you want to charge.

Definitely add the raw material cost and your time, then go from there. At least double it to make it worth your while...These are pieces of art. They are worth whatever you say they are!

I have to agree w/ all of the above. Remember your time is worth something, so include that. I like what Country Girls said about looking and seeing what others are selling items similar to yours. I am poor, so, I probably can't afford one very soon- (violins play here...X ). So maybe every once in awhile, you could do a "special sale" for the likes of me, and maybe to build a bit of client base.

I wouldn't have the slightest idea. I shop clearance on seasonal stuff. Probably go with time x material.

If I see something I love, I'm willing to pay the cost. It's better than putting something in your cart at the store and thinking "Meh!! Whatever...".
Plus, art has an intrinsic value in just its beauty.

Okay, I'm going to break the cycle here and tell you what I would pay for this lovely box and why....keep in mind I'm cheap and never buy anything that isn't on sale...I would pay between $35.00 and $50.00 plus shipping because it's something I would give a girlfriend as a gift and I usually spend up to $50.00 on gifts for them at the holidays. Ofcourse I make things myself and know the cost of the materials and ofcourse your time...
