Slumber Land

Why is it when I am lying in bed,

trying to fall asleep,

I have 10’s of ideas for my blog.

Good ideas.

Clever

Unique

But in the morning

I am devoid of anything earth shattering.

Perhaps I should jot these ideas down…

This is it for today.

You are SO not alone ... I read that all the high powered folk keep a recorder next to the bed so they can save their big ideas for the morning

I am right there with you. I think we need one of those key chains with the tape recorder at the end of it....right on the night stand. With my luck, the battery would die!

they say keep a pad and pencil by your bed, I tried that once but then it makes me wide awake even more.

I suffer from this ailment too! Many times I've thought about putting a pad of paper by my bed, but haven't.

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! It’s incredible to recognize that I’ve know this man for almost 50 years. I don’t regret one single day. Not one.  Sure, there have been times that were filled with questions and struggles. Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
