Second Try...Give A Way
I am surprised that no one guessed correctly. Perhaps my taste in movies is considered out there by my blogging friends. Here's the truth and nothing but the truth!!!!
As much as this may surprise you, I considered Quantum of Solace very good. Believe me, I wanted to hate it so much because for me, there will never be a more sexier Bond than Pierce Bronson. So he's getting a little pouch but that far out weighs the dark hair and those piercing (no pun intended...well, maybe a little) blue eyes. As any Bond movie, it was full of the high speed chases, breath taking scenery (Italy), and well, an incredible "save the world" script.
Never really thought much of Liam Neeson as a tough guy, ex CIA operative before, but intrigued by the whole "save my child" angle, I rented Taken. This movie was very entertaining in an ex spy kind of way and take no prisoners alive scheme. Who knew Liam could climb on a 4 inch ledge 4 stories above a cobblestone courtyard? Liked it.
Here's the one I bet you all never saw coming. I find historical re-enactments mind consuming. With that said, Valkyrie was a two thumbs up for me. During the entire movie, I kept thinking to myself, why does the media thrash Tom Cruise for his acting ability or rather lack there of? He never seems to get a fair shake from the critics. Put aside his religious beliefs aside for a moment and rent the movie...only if you have an affinity for historical films with huge budgets!!! I liked it...please don't hate me. (and another little secret... I loved Seven Years in Tibet and most critics panned it)
To wrap things up, I did not care for Pink Panther 2. Honestly, I only rented it for my husband. Never been a fan of the slap stick nonsense comedies. He's Not Just That Into You was the movie I thought dragged on and on and on. The women were portrayed to be so needy and desperate. If that is any reflection on what our younger single sisters deal with today, well, I want no part of it.
In order to give away my cute little book cover, I will randomly draw a name at 11:00 P.M. Thursday evening and make the announcement on Friday. No more quizzes.

Me, I havent seen any of them .. and honestly have no desire to ... we did watch and really enjoyed the re-make of The Women with Meg Ryan...
My favorite movie lately was "Revolutionary Road". It was incredible.
"He's Just Not That Into You" was a giant yawn -- you're so right.
