Too Much TV for Me!

Ya gotta love Whoppi Goldburg! She is one of my favorite actors and comedians and so much better than her predecessor on The View. I think she is versatile, outspoken yet kind, experienced and someone I would want to be stuck in an elevator with. (ending sentences with a preposition is a Mid-Western thing so get over it!)

On Tuesday's show, she was talking about GPS systems and men and asked why men never ask for directions. Her point was a good one, GPS systems should be mandatory in all men's cars. Whoppi volunteered to be the voice for the GPS systems. Now in your best Whoppi voice, imagine that she is talking to a male driver...here goes!

  • I already told you to turn right, where are you going?


  • Stop, fool, and turn around!


  • Hey, stupid, why didn't you turn when I told you to turn?

It's not often when I really LOL, but she can get me most of the time to break out in a chuckle.
Who would you like to be stuck in an elevator with? Someone that would be just fun to pass time with. I know, ending with a preposition again. Don't hate me. It's a habit I cannot break!

I love her. She does a voice message in some NYC taxis, and I love it when I get in one of those. I like to disobey my GPS and let her get all flustered. I'm just a barrel of laughs, aren't I?

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
