Skywatch Friday
This photo is at the top of Haleakala in Maui. What is amazing about this photo is the peaks you see down in the crater are larger than the Empire State building.
When we began our ascent to the top of the mountain, it was a lovely 80 degrees. Once we reached the top, over 10,000 feet above sea level, the winds were sharp and cut deeply into us. The temperature dropped to 38 degrees.
