Skywatch Friday


Welcome to Skywatch Friday.
This photo is at the top of Haleakala in Maui. What is amazing about this photo is the peaks you see down in the crater are larger than the Empire State building.
When we began our ascent to the top of the mountain, it was a lovely 80 degrees. Once we reached the top, over 10,000 feet above sea level, the winds were sharp and cut deeply into us. The temperature dropped to 38 degrees.

What a beautiful photo and it brings back memories of a trip to this area several years ago. I remember how cold it was up there. I shall enjoy looking at your other lovely photographs.

This is an incredible photo. I love the different colors. And the textures don't even look real. Can't believe your temperature change!

Sadly, I do not paint. My uncle received that talent. I only have one tenth of his artist ability...better than stick figures but far, far, far below than Micheal Angelo!
And yes, I agree, Little Jack is a cutie!

This brings back such lovely memories of our Hawaiian adventure. We sure had fun, didn't we? I spent part of last Sunday online looking through all my photos for the past 3 years. But I spent the most time looking at our Hawaiian photos. It seems like a million years ago since the four of us gals were there. When are we going back????

Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
