Simple Sunday

This Sunday is filled with warm sunshine, humid breezes and the long shadows that reminds me of the next season that will be upon us very quickly. Ahhh....Fall! I cannot wait. As I take a peak into the 10 day forecast, I am excited to say that although tomorrow brings us cooler weather, this upcoming week will be delicious!

There is nothing better than sleeping with the windows open and having the cool night air drift across your sleeping self. The freshness of the night transpires one to burrow down under the blanket or comforter to find that coziness of warmth and security.

Ahh...Fall. I'm a'waitin!

I loved the temps this morning. I slept with our bedroom window open all night. It was heavenly! I agree...fall is my favorite time of the years. I love the smells, colors, brilliant blue skies, crunching leaves, outdoor fires in the fireplace, and snuggling in sweaters. Bring it on!

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! It’s incredible to recognize that I’ve know this man for almost 50 years. I don’t regret one single day. Not one.  Sure, there have been times that were filled with questions and struggles. Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
