Visit with My Sister

The trip to Cape May proved to be quite relaxing and enjoyable. Spending time with my sister and her family is always fun.
Here we are at the Mad Batter where we just enjoyed a fabulous breakfast. Someone who reads my blog suggested we go here. I had the best French Toast ever. Unfortunately, I had to sit next to my sister while she ordered and ate Eggs Benedict. Did I mention that I hate eggs? Gross!
Yes, this picture is out of order, but here is my baby sister hugging on her brother-in-law. She has known him since she was 9 years old. Yes, I am that old!
Despite the seething heat and humidity of 200%, we still walked around Cape May. But I stopped to smell the roses or in this case, shoot the camera at many of the eye popping flowers and window boxes outside the million B & B's.
I kid you not, this was the largest hibiscus I have ever seen in my life. The circumference had to be 12 inches in diameter. If anyone knows just how they grow hibiscus this large in New Jersey, please let me know.
I captured the boys thoroughly enjoying the shopping experience in town. Right! See how they were color coordinated? My BIL is wearing a New York Giants Super Bowl tee shirt. My nephew is wearing, what else? A Chicago Cubs shirt! Go Cubbies! And Fred, he's the one in the middle, wearing a non-descript shirt. He really hates to wear a tee shirt with anything printed on it. That has also passed on to my son as he refuses to wear tees with messages, unless of course, it has anything to do with the Atlanta Braves.
The only downer on the trip was that we couldn't meet up with our good friends, Linda and Joe. They "forgot" they had a trip to Aruba, otherwise, we would have loved to join up with my Texas Holdem buddies! Actually, we met them on our first cruise over 10 years ago, but that is a completely other story!

You guys look like you really enjoyed your family vacation. What is on your list next? Are you back to A-town or off for parts unknown? Wouldn't you love to live in a town where all the house had flowers and window boxes? Like on TV shows
You look like you're having a great time! Love the beautiful flower boxes with colorful posies and the quant feel of the shopping district. EGADS! I need a vacation...anywhere...soon!
