The Animals Approve

Prior to Jack's arrival, Erika and Aaron were sole parents to 3 cats, Allie (big sister to my Grace Kittie), Boyd and lastly, Charlie. Two of these cats belonged to Erika prior to Aaron's arrival into her life.
Here we have a candid shot of the youngest cat, Charlie, checking out the baby. Charlie has already indicated that when the baby monitor begins to squeak, he looks at the new parents and (if animals could talk) says "What's wrong with the baby?"
While I had the wondrous experience of feeding my grandson yesterday, Allie jumped up on the couch, slowly walked over to Jack's head, took a sniff and then proceeded to lick his head. Allie gave her seal of approval.

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! It’s incredible to recognize that I’ve know this man for almost 50 years. I don’t regret one single day. Not one.  Sure, there have been times that were filled with questions and struggles. But there have been so many more days that we’re fun filled, raising our two perfect children, living the life of suburbia, two working parents doing their best. Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
