The Flower of Yesteryear

Nothing says yesteryear than hydrangeas. One look at this beautiful snowball flower and I imagine antique lace, doilies, and the hint of Scarlett O'Hara whispering to Rhett.
I have never been lucky enough to grow hydrangeas. For some reason, I lack that green thumb required to produce these beauties.
Send me your photos of the hydrangeas in your yard. I can't wait to see them!

I have no hydrangea. I've just never gotten around to them. I'll have to look at MPM's!

Very lovely! My mom had a snowball bush when we were kids, but I don't know if that's a hydrangea or not. She always wanted a blue hydrangea bush, but blue would grow in Iowa soil, she was told.

Never had a Hydrangea and probably never will... While I love them for the reasons you do, my husband does not.

Its not about a green thumb, its about nitrates .. seriously, ask at a garden center what you need to add to the dirt in your garden/yard to get them to grow.
