This is my happy little blog full of personal thoughts, opinions, family life and my feeble attempt to photograph life as it rushes by me.

Nothing says yesteryear than hydrangeas. One look at this beautiful snowball flower and I imagine antique lace, doilies, and the hint of Scarlett O'Hara whispering to Rhett. I have never been lucky enough to grow hydrangeas. For some reason, I lack that green thumb required to produce these beauties. Send me your photos of the hydrangeas in your yard. I can't wait to see them!
By far, my very favorite flower. I have three in my garden. The one that was given to me by my mother in law is beautiful....just waiting for it to bloom. When it does, I will ber sure to share some picutres. It makes me think of her and what a beautiful person she was.....
Very lovely! My mom had a snowball bush when we were kids, but I don't know if that's a hydrangea or not. She always wanted a blue hydrangea bush, but blue would grow in Iowa soil, she was told.
Its not about a green thumb, its about nitrates .. seriously, ask at a garden center what you need to add to the dirt in your garden/yard to get them to grow.
Hi Deb...I adore Hydrangeas..I just got home from my trip and waiting for me from a fellow blogger was a beautiful arrangement with this lovely flower...I love when you dry them...How have you been...did you have any interest in the Viking coking class that we are going to?? I can't remember if I heard back from you...
I feel the need to share again. To put my thoughts on the table for those to read. Nothing earth shattering, I don't think, but none the less, I feel the need. Turmoil? Unrest? No...perhaps wishing for a little more happy in my life. How do I find a little more happy? You can't rely on other people to make you happy. Happiness comes from within. Happiness comes from myself. I am responsible for my own happiness. There it is. How shall I proceed to find that happiness? Getting involved in my creative side? Allowing that instinct to flow once again? Since the company I worked for closed last year, I have felt as though there was a void in my life. The void stems from not having that financial security I once had. Oh, I have a part time job in a field I never thought I'd enter. Food industry. It's fun actually, but I'm sure that is because I work with a awesome woman who is my friend. A person I thought would never give me...
As all of us in the Southeast are doing, we are constantly checking weather forecast. Some local channels, and you know who you are WSB , are already in that manic mode. All of their meteorologists have a dazed look in their eyes. They are giddy with anticipation of a big snow event. And let me just clarify myself as to what constitutes a "big snow event" in Atlanta. First, just the forecast of snow makes everyone nutso. Store shelves are emptied of bread, makings for chili, brownie mix and milk. If we actually do get snow, and I must say that we will get flurries once a winter, all TV is interrupted for "black ice" warnings Yes, we are a bit crazy! Secondly, if there is an inch of snow, than the weather channels declare "Snow Jam 2010"! Nothing else in the world is news worthy as Snow Jam 2010 becomes our only news event. Since living here in Georgia, we once received 7 inches of snow. Trucks could not come into replenish the store shelves. Sch...
There are just some things that cannot be wasted. I will go to great lengths to conserve my favorite body lotion. . Philosophy Body Emulsion Amazing Grace has magical powers. This is the only body lotion I’ve used that actually makes a difference. After showering, apply to dry skin, and your body feels silky soft. The key to this product's popularity is its lasting power. From shower to shower, my skin feels fabulous. With all that said, it is good till the last drop! PS....you can purchase Philosophy line on QVC, Philosophy stores or online. Use the link.
