Hooey and Canopies

Taurus horoscope - Week of May 4, 2009

You can't always go into detailed explanations regarding your actions, but you can tell your associates what your plans are! (who are my associates?) On Tuesday, the Sun in Taurus in your sector of self trines taciturn Saturn and you and a friend will find a way to interact more honestly and openly than you have been recently. (self trines taciturn, huh?)  On Thursday, Mercury, the planet of the mind and communication, turns retrograde for three weeks. (well, that’s a relief!)  Make sure that you don't start any new projects, move, or sign a lease until May 30, unless you absolutely have to. (got it!)  It's OK to visit a place you've already been.  (well, that is good news – I can continue to visit the bathroom!)

…And on that note, I love to shoot the trees from this vantage point.  One of my favorite things in nature is tree canopies.  Have you ever found an old road where the trees simply cover the sky from side to side?  If I had one wish, it would be to capture such canopy on canvas, sadly, I do not possess that artistic quality.  Good thing I have a camera.

I love how they make canopies. I have a favorite tree-lined road down by Assateague Island in the southern part of Maryland. Now I need to go there.

that is a beautiful shot, I to love to look at trees this way and old established neighborhoods where the trees have a canopy all across "big sigh". I wish I could paint as well, to create what I see in my mind as well as what is really in front of me.

Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
