It's Friday and ...

Today is Friday, the official end to the work week, although for the non working folks like me, it just means my week of caring for my Jack ends. The moment he walks out of the door and says "Bye, MiMi", my heart saddens ever so slightly.

Today, having a $20 coupon to Chili's, we decided lunch would be on them. Now I remember why we received the $20 in coupons was because the food was dreadful from our last visit. Sorry to report that today's venture was not any surprises as the same dismal food was served. Note to self, do no go back to Chili's every again.

Grandpa or as Jack now calls him "Pops" (a very sweet name and tribute to a very sweet man that was very close to our family who has since pasted), and Jack were outside letting run off a little steam while I paid the bill. Jack was hiding behind a tree, you know the kind of tree that is all of 3 inches wide, but none the less, Jack was hiding from me. When he say me, I heard the sweetest words float from his sweet mouth..."Mimi...Mimi". That was it, my heart had melted in front of Chili's. Fond memory of my Grand Boy but not so fond memory of the stuff they call food. I still have indigestion.

Indigestion? Well, it's Friday and you have the weekend to recuperate. :-)

So sweet. Just think, two days to your vacation. Enjoy every minute of Jack's face as he experiences all the new things. Looking forward to some pictures.

I just want to take a little nibble on him;) Forget Chili's...We don't have those up here. So I guess I don't have to worry;)

I have been called a snob for not wanting to eat in Chili's ... no, I said, not a snob, a smart woman .. those chains are not very consistent in terms of quality or service .. its a hit/miss .. with far more misses.

Enjoy the weekend.. take a Pepcid and relax!

Reading your sweet posts about Jack makes me yearn for a grandchild. Now I know how glad my MIL was when our son was born. He was the first grandchild in the family and spent quite a lot of time with her and my FIL. Such a beautiful time.
