Spring and Other Nonsense

I am enjoying the onset of Spring so much!  Springs in Atlanta are always fantastic, but this year Spring is just fetching.  Yes, fetching!  It is not uncommon for a hard freeze to hit and kill the blooming trees, but by the Grace of God, we have not suffered the cold, freezing nights.

As winter wanes and spring blossoms, I love to watch the changing patterns of the sun.  Sun rise and sun sets move in a westernly pattern across the skies.  Strangely, I long for the long shadows of fall.  I cannot explain how those long shadows just captivate me.

That’s it.  I just wanted to share my love of the many, many blossoming trees here in Atlanta and the fact that I have to squint to keep the sun out of my eyes as I write my blog for tomorrow.

Psstt…tomorrow, I have a date with my favorite celebrity chef, Tyler Florence.  Yes, he is coming to Atlanta and he’s all mine!  You better believe that there will be photos…lots of photos!!

I've been enjoying watching Spring come to my neck of the woods too. It's so refreshing after the miserable winter we had!

My favorite season is the summer. It can never be too hot for me and the sun in my face in my eyes is OK with me. I see you are going to be right by my house tomorrow for the big Tyler, Paula and I forget who else event. Take lots of pictures. Get his book signed. Get him in your car and take him home and make him cook in your house and just let me know what time I should be over:) Have fun. Sue and I are going to sign up for a cooking class in town so maybe you would like to join us?

Oh what fun ..

Fall and spring are my favorite seasons because the light changes (some scientific reason about earth being closer or further or some angle of then sun) and I get the best pix!

I think spring has finally sprung here. We had snow this past week, but yesterday and today have been in the 70's. I even hear the meadowlarks out in the fields this morning.
