Daises Are Such Friendly Flowers!

One of my favorite flowers in nature is the simple, sweet, and delicate daisy. Its simplicity makes a statement. No other flower can sit front and center in any one's decor like the daisy. It simply does not conflict with a upholstered sofa or comfy chair. Its elegance is clear.
Not to mention, daisies are my daughter's favorite flowers. She carried a Gerber daisy bouquet on her wedding day. Tom Hanks brought a very sick Meg Ryan a bouquet of daises in the movie You've Got Mail. She simply replied "Daises are such friendly flowers!" That about sums it all up.
I captured this lovely flower in Rock State Park last month. After playing with my camera settings, I discovered that my close up setting gave me the photo I wanted.

By George, I think you've got it! You're spot on to macro photography without a fancy dancy expensive lens. Who needs it? This photo is absolutely lovely! And yes, the simple unpretentious daisy is simplistic in detail yet indescribably happy. Thanks for the visual hug :)

Love it! I've always liked daisies too. Some of the most simple everyday flowers are my favorites. Beautiful photo.

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
