Bats in the Belfry? Well...Sorta

I know I'm batty but now I've found a place to hide.
The Bat House...
Seriously, I photographed this bat house along the river
last week and now notice that these bat houses have prime
real estate along the river's edge.
Bat Conservation is an important part of the environment.
One bat can catch hundreds of mosquitos an hour.
Anything to ward off those nasty mosquitos.

A public service post!

We had a bat house for years. Then it fell off the tree. When I looked there were 3 or 4 bats in it. I thought they might be dead, but thankfully, when I went back later they were gone. I need to put up another one!

I have one in my backyard too - not sure if I've ever had any though.

Had a great time yesterday at our tea. It was so yummy. It was great to see you again.

Oh we need a bat house to keep the pests away!
Well I've been told I'm batty but don't have a bat house! Maybe I should look into one. It was fun to meet you yesterday and loved that High Tea!

I love the job bats do, I just don't want to see them!

Love bats, we have always had one or two that hang around and bought a bat house but never put it up. I got to get on that, I'd love to have more bats around (especially with the mass of mosquitos I'm expecting we'll have this summer).

I've seen the zillions of bats in Austin, and the ones in Georgetown, but can't get them to mosey on up to my place. Guess I'll get my own Bat House.

Hubby put up two bat condos last year. When he looked, he thought they were empty. I suggested painting a "vacancy" sign on the front but he didn't think it was a cool idea. Wonder if they will be there this year?

We do have hummingbirds by the tons - and I LOVE THEM!!!

We have bats here at my place. Not sure where they go during the day, though. And yes, they're fantastic for eating those mosquitos!

When I'm out late late at night walking the dog I always see things flying around...you can see the shadows...it always creeps me out that it's probably bats....

We have a bat house...and it has bats in it! We enjoy hanging out on the deck in the summer and getting buzzed by the bats at dusk.

Bat Houses are amazing! And we have a serious bat decline here in CT. Very sad news...
Yes, we have bat houses in our back yard. We live on a lake where tons of mosquitos breed...thank God the bats like to eat them. (The bats are very plump, too!)
