Winter...Ba Humbug!

Not only have I decided to blog today, but I have even updated my design.  Hey, I'm feeling a little festive.

Is anyone tired of winter beside just me?  Winter has hit everyone hard this year in all four corners of the USA.  After 2 snow storms, ok, the one on Christmas day was picture perfect so maybe I should just discount that one, but the snow storm of January 10th was more than any Southerner could handle.

I know, my family and friends on the East Coast have had what? 50+ inches of snow so far?  More on the way and more predicted for Atlanta this coming week.

So with all that said...here's a photo we can all relish in...
Lovely blooming pear trees....
 A tiny bit of phlox...
And my favorite of all....hosta...I can almost smell the rich soil...

Spring brings me outdoors and onto my deck to garden. I am so looking forward to playing in the dirt again. Oh and I've got a Grandbaby due also!

The smell of fresh turned earth on the farm and watching the alfalfa wake up and send tiny green shoots upwards that will turn the fields from brown to various shades of green as the fields come alive from their winters sleep!

Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
