I found a great big grey hair Well, several of them... this is what I get when I do not highlight my hair... I am going to suck my thumb and take to my bed... And oh...this is what my mother told me yesterday... "You're not a spring chicken anymore, you know." Mommmmm (said in a whiny voice)

Today, I have decided to take the Sunday off and not blog. Wait. I am blogging right now? Well, this one doesn't count. Here's what I plan on doing today.... ...finish making this pretty little Christmas box for my sister so I can mail it tomorrow (yes, there will be pictures... ...make a few Christmas cards to send to my family... ...Friendship bread is in the oven now...with two more loaves to go.... ...getting my hair cut today at the salon my daughter goes to (you know how I feel about hair cuts...yes, I am nervous and I'm sure there will be a post) ...going to my daughter's home to watch the Falcons play... ...my darling SIL is making us dinner.... and that's it... What are you doing? Oh, never mind...I'm not blogging today...I forgot

I scheduled an appointment to get my hair cut. I couldn't go to my interview looking like the shaggy dog. Remember that movie? I loved that movie with Fred MacMurray , Tommy Kirk , Jean Hagen , Kevin Corcoran , Tim Considine , Roberta Shore , and Annette Funicello . Wilby, the English sheep dog, made me wish to own one of these dogs in my life time and name him Ka-boom. It was one of my favorite drive in movies. Remember drive ins? Where are all of the drive ins today? Wow! It doesn't take much for me to digress. Back to my hair cut! As you probably know, I am obsessed with hair cuts, hair products, and all of the hype associated around my hair. Yep, you are probably saying to yourself, her hair looks like crap most of the time! I agree. In my head, my hair looks a certain way and I'm standing by that idealist vision! Imagine how impressed I was when I called the Aveda salon at the Avenue in Forsyth to make my appointment and I was already in the computer! The best hair cut...

OK, lately, I have been obsessed with hair related posts. I have determined that this obsession is based on my mother's famous words, "A woman's hair is her crowning glory". Yes, I heard this a lot but not as much as "A place for everything and everything in its place". That one, which still brings shivers down my spin, I hated the most and is probably why my drawers and closets would cause Martha Steward to have a coronary. Back to hair. Sunday I sat behind someone in church who had the perfect hair cut, hair color, hair style and hair do. Would it have been wrong to tap her on the shoulder, move forward and whisper "I love your hair. Where do you get it done?" when I was supposed to be listening intently to the priest's sermon? There are just some things that I cannot live without and if stranded on a desert island with electricity, these items would be so in my bag.
