Drivin' 55

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting some new Georgia bloggers. I don’t remember who exactly had the idea to meet for lunch, but Joyce, Sue and I agree, it was a great idea. We met at Red Salt Pub on Canton Street in the middle of Historic Roswell.  The food was great, as always.  I tried their 7 onion soup which is nothing like a French onion soup but more like a creamy bisque.  Many of the bloggers tried Red Salt’s Roasted Pear Salad with Chicken.  Yep, it was very good, sans the blue cheese of course.  Blue cheese does not like me one little bit, although, I love blue cheese.    Thanks to Yelp, I was able to grab this photo.  Somehow, I managed to forget my camera at home.  To top it off, I changed purses that morning and my handy little Kodak was left behind. The crisp fall weather has planted me firmly into the season. I am making soups. Knitting. Crocheting. Planning on the holidays before us. I even have my beef tenderloin in the freezer for my Christmas dinner thanks to a great sale.  Thanks to all of those great emails I receive, I found these little guy! Look how adorable they are!!! Chip Dale Come to me! I’d buy these if they didn’t do anything, but they serve a purpose. The are salt and pepper shakers!  Can cuteness actually harm me? They are from Pottery Barn   and reasonably priced at $24. My suggestion to you is if you are invited to a grand gathering, bring these as a hostess gift. She will love you already, but then again, I’m sure she already loves you! Happy Fall, Ya’ll!!!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting eleven other ladies who share the same passion as I do… Blogging!   We broke bread at la Madeleine in Marietta, Georgia and lingered for almost two hours. Such a good time was had by all, we are determined to get together again. One suggestions was to treat our next luncheon as a “speed dating” event so all can chit chat.
