Perfect Conditions

Sunday was spectacular.

A picture perfect day.
I waited for these conditions to reveal themselves so I could take the perfect photo that I envisioned in my mind for months now.
The lake was smooth as glass.
The reflection of the autumn trees just stunning.
I love days like this.
What is amazing is that I used my little point n' shoot camera.

This weekend was spectacular, wasn't it? We walked along the path with our three canine children both Saturday and Sunday. Being dogs, they took their time sniffing every nook and cranny. I love the sound of rustling leaves, the woodsy scent of autumn leaves, fresh pine, and the breath-taking blue sky. It was warm enough for a short-sleeved shirt during the day and a light jacket at night. I love living in Georgia! Beautiful photo, Deb!

It is April of  2019. The year that marks my 65th trip around the sun.  Somehow, I always knew that I would make this landmark. There was never a doubt in my mind. The first 65 years have been trouble free. Moderate medical issues. One simple surgery in 2017.  This year will also mark 47 years of marriage to one man. Give me a standing O now, please! It’s incredible to recognize that I’ve know this man for almost 50 years. I don’t regret one single day. Not one.  Sure, there have been times that were filled with questions and struggles. Christmas in July Give A Way

What better way to celebrate the middle of summer with a give a way for one lucky blogging friend? Just because I want to, I will be giving away a Christmas box with an accordion album. This happens to be my design and I have already given one away last December. Sorry, Kate , you will have to sit this one out! This paper mache box holds an accordion album inside. More than likely, I will make a minor modification to the box before shipping it to its new home. I really love these vintage papers from Melissa Frances Scrapbook . Her collection of designs and patterns reminds me of a little sea side cottage. I can smell the ocean spray right now. These papers bring me back to a time when I think I would have loved to live…The Victorian Age. But let’s not fool anyone, I want all of the modern day luxuries.
